Under the watchful eyes of head coach Arvind Bhat, the Bengaluru Blasters will participate in their first training session at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium on Friday as they prepare for their home leg of the second edition of the Premier Badminton League.

Having played in Hyderabad first and then in Mumbai, the Blasters’ squad landed in the city on Wednesday and will take on the Hyderabad Hunters in their first tie on Saturday.

With the tournament having been shifted out of the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, last year’s venue, there were doubts aplenty on the conditions and the infrastructure available but the organisers have been working into the wee hours to ensure the stadium is match-ready come Saturday. “Our main focus was on getting the main arena ready first and we should have everything in place by tomorrow morning,” said an official.

While the court-side area has been the focus so far, there are doubts on the sanitation requirements but the organisers were confident of getting the job done.
