Pommie Mbangwa and Shaun Pollock in their assessment of the conditions at Lucknow point out that, it is rather warm, there'll be some comfort from the wind.
Dimensions: Square boundaries - 66 m and 67 m, straight boundary - 76 m.
The Surface: Red and black soil and a little bit of green grass rolled in. They throw the grass cuttings on and then throw a little bit of water. It looks like a good surface, but the advantage could be to bat first.
Later on, it might break up because it's not necessarily held together. However, dew can help you bat.

The experienced Mohammad Nabi (3/28) led the pack but it was Afghanistan's work in the field to effect four 'Run Outs' that helped them gain a foothold in the game.

What a dominant performance that was by Afghanistan as they win by 7 wickets with with 111 balls to spare.
The Dutch made early in-roads in the chase courtesy Logan van Beek (1/30) and spinners Roelof van der Merwe (1/27) and Saqib Zulfiqar (1/25) chipped in but it was too small a total to defend.
Ultimately, half-centuries from Rahmat Shah (52) and Hashmatullah Shahidi (56*) carried Afghanistan over the line with plenty to spare.
This result means Afghanistan keep their hopes of qualifying for the semifinals alive with their third win on the trot. They are in fifth spot on the points table, level on points with New Zealand and Australia who sit in fourth and third spot respectively.

Definitely not ideal! Four run-outs from our top five batters. We started well but we lost our way. They have top-quality spinners and we couldn't recover. You can't really for the dew. We have done well batting first, a 280 sort of score would have been good even with dew around. I would say both, we bowled well but the run-chase also. It's the third time we are achieving a target. Especially in this World Cup, we are looking at the target of the opposition. We are playing according to the situation and achieving for the team. He is a special player. Whenever the team needs him, he shows the way. We all are very united, we all are enjoying the wins and all of them are thinking about the team. We are trying our best to make it to the semi-finals. If we make it, it would be a big achievement for us. I lost my mother three months back, so my family is in pain, so it will be a big achievement for our country first and then for me also. I would like to give a message - there are a lot of refugee people in struggle, we all are watching their videos and we feel their pain.
