ICC's Cricket World Cup Twitter account on Monday tweeted a morphed photo of former Mumbai Indians and Sri Lanka yorker specialist Lasith Malinga and former India captain M S Dhoni. Malinga's popular curly hairdo was placed on Captain Cool's head.
“Dipping yorkers. Slip catches. Helicopter shots. He can do it all… Presenting MS Malinga,” read the caption of the morphed picture.
Twitter users were left befuddled and were quick to reply in amusement and some in rejection.
Twitter user @imaishu quoted the tweet with an "Unsee" gif.
Another user wanted the tweet to be deleted.
"Captain cool+angry+attacker," Twitter user @imindrasinha said.
@subhadeepdas14 on Twitter came up with different names for the combination.
Another Twitter user @DiveshS31356290 was appreciative of the edit.
