Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers set the stage alight with blistering knocks but young Quinton de Kock stole the spotlight at the end of a warm Sunday night as the Delhi Daredevils outlasted the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a high-scoring IPL game.

Kohli and de Villiers, joining forces as early as third ball of the innings following a second straight failure by Chris Gayle, smashed superb half-centuries as RCB posted a challenging 191/5 after being asked to bat on another flatbed at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

However, their fiery efforts were doused by an astonishing innings from de Kock.
The 23-year-old South African, known for his big-hitting, hammered a sizzling 51-ball 108, a knock that was studded with 15 boundaries and three sixes. It was Daredevils’ second win.

Not sparing any RCB bowlers, de Kock just kept banishing everything to the boundaries to single handedly anchor the Daredevils’ chase at the start. He was joined by the impressive Karun Nair (54 not out) in the sixth over and from there on it was just one-way traffic.

De Kock perished with the target in sight but Karnataka batsman Nair was there till the end to complete the job as Daredevils registered a thumping seven-wicket win.
