Delhi Waveriders will look to consolidate its position on the top of the table when they take on defending champions Ranchi Rhinos in their last home encounter of the Hero Hockey India League on Wednesday.

The contest is crucial for both the sides to secure their places in the semifinals.

 Captain of Delhi Waveriders, Sardar Singh said: “Ranchi Rhinos is a strong team and they will give us a good fight. However, we have prepared ourselves and playing on the home ground always serves as an advantage, we will ensure that we do not disappoint the fans here. “

Coach of Ranchi Rhinos, Gregg Clark admitted they were up against a tough opponent in Waveriders. “It will be a tough match tomorrow (Wednesday), and we are ready to give a cut throat competition. They are strong and hold the advantage of playing on home ground. However our team is confident.”
