The programme released the names of 15 ‘Care Champions’ who will be involved in raising a minimum of Rs one lakh each. Additionally, 17 Corporate Cares Teams will play their part in raising money to fund several NGOs across the City.
Ganesh, who finished shooting for a movie as late as 3.00 am, said he wouldn't have missed the event for anything.
“I’ve always believed in doing whatever I can for the community,” Ganesh said.
Ganesh said he chose the Iksha foundation, who deal with children suffering from eye cancer, because he wanted to help them see the world.
“We see everything and take it for granted. For them, it’s a very big deal. We should respect that and help them in any way we can,” Ganesh added.
