SAI overcame a first set loss to win 20-25, 25-11, 25-19, 25-20 in a 70-minute encounter. BEL took a 1-0 lead but SAI clawed back to level scores before taking the next two sets for the match. In the second match of the day, ITI stamped their authority over BSNL with a facile 25-19, 25-15, 25-15 win in a contest that lasted a mere 52 minutes.
Vikram and Ravindra were the top-performers for ITI while Ravikumar fought hard for BSNL.
