One of the stars of New South Wales’ victorious Champions League campaign, Henriques, himself was a replacement for injured James Hopes in the ongoing seven-match ODI series against India.

But the 22-year-old all-rounder, who made his debut in third one-dayer in Delhi, sustained a hamstring injury during the fourth game in Mohali, which forced him to return home after being ruled out for the remainder of the series.
“As a kid, I said all I wanted was to play one game for Australia, but when you get that one game, you just want more and more,” said Henriques, who returned home  to consult a physiotherapist.

“I am still learning my craft. Playing for your country isn’t easy, maybe this is  what I needed to show me how professional you need to be to ensure you’re able to take the field every time.’

“I want to be back in a week or two,” he was quoted as saying in the Sydney Morning Herald.
