Asked which team, she would support now that her husband has joined Pune Warriors, Dona was forthright in his admission. "I will be among many fans in Kolkata who will be supporting Pune Warriors."

After being ignored at the auctions earlier this year, Ganguly was picked up as a replacement of Ashish Nehra after Pune Warriors lost six games on trot.

"I run a dance school and my students are performing in various cultural programmes but does that mean I stop performing. If you can keep yourself fit and can perform, then why not?" Dona, an Odissi dancer of repute, told PTI here.

Dona reiterated that Ganguly retired on his own terms as that was the need of the hour but they were really disappointed when he was given cold shoulder by the 10 franchises during the IPL auctions in January, this year.

"It feels good that he has got an opportunity now. Players like him should be given freedom to decide when to quit. He should continue playing as long as he wishes," she said.
Ganguly is likely to play against Kings XI Punjab tomorrow.
