India comfortably overcame Bang­ladesh 98-30 in the second qualifying match of the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Zone under-18 men’s basketball championship here at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium on Sunday. 

Having lost to Sri Lanka 126-36 on Saturday, Bangladesh needed a win to stay alive in the competition but they went down tamely. 

India, who will play Sri Lanka on Tuesday, need a victory to enter the Asian under-18 championships which will take place in Doha. 

Result: India: 98 (Gurvinder Gill 18, Mahipal Singh 16) bt Bangladesh (Munim 11) 98-30; HT: 62-12. Monday’s schedule (6.00 pm): India vs Sri Lanka.
