After KSCA Secretary's XI scored an innings win over Railways on Thursday, another home team, KSCA President's XI, posted a comprehensive 93-run win over Baroda Cricket Association in the KSCA Dr (Capt) K Thimmappaiah memorial cricket tournament here at Alur Ground (1) on Friday.
On the fourth and final day, President's XI, overnight 185/2, declared their second innings closed at 261/3 in 88 overs after Liyan Khan (101 n.o.) brought up his century. Siddharth KV was out after scoring 51.
Set a daunting target of 398, Baroda gave it a spirited chase but were bowled out for 305 in 82.1 overs with Deepak Hooda top-scoring with 88. Paceman HS Sharath (3/42) and Harish Kumar (3/29) claimed three wickets each as President's XI pocketed six points.
Hegde slams ton
In Mysore, KSCA Colts walked away with innings honours from their drawn encounter with Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association. Replying to MPCA's total of 390 all out, the Colts, overnight 153/2, declared their innings at 500/9 in 185.2 overs. All-rounder Shubhang Hegde led Colt's charge with 125 while Vyshak V scored 84.
