Services boxer Madan Lal scored a comprehensive 15-9 win over Santosh Harijan of Goa to storm into the flyweight division final on day five of the 59th Sahara Senior Men’s National Boxing Championship here on Saturday.
In the summit clash, Lal takes on Delhi boxer Gaurav Bidhuri, who beat Mahminathan of Karnataka.
CWG bronze medallist Amandeep Singh of Railways and 2009 Asian Championship gold medallist Nanao Singh of Services also made it to the light flyweight finals. Amandeep defeated a feisty Naveen Kumar from Haryana while Nanao also had to work hard against Pankaj Saini of Punjab.
In the heavy weight category, Manpreet Singh of Services pipped Jasveer Singh of Railways 15-14 for a place in the final.
