The cameraman who became famous around the world after knocking down Usain Bolt during his victory lap apologised to the sprint king on Friday.

The video of Song Tao, who works for China’s CCTV, losing control of his segway and upending Bolt after the 200M final became viral on Thursday.

Song met with Bolt on Friday when the Jamaican arrived for his victory ceremony. He then tied a band around Bolt’s wrist as a mark of friendship.

Both Bolt and Tao came crashing down, luckily both escaped injuries.

“I probably should get my legs insured. It was pretty scary when it happened. It was my calf that got hurt but I will be alright,” Bolt had said on Thursday night.
