Before coming to the capital, Shilpa apparently made a trip to the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai so that Shane Warne and Co could register their fifth straight win in the IPL.

On Wednesday, Shilpa and her younger sister Shamita were there to cheer the team against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla. For the fans, it was not only a chance to see some top cricket, but they also witnessed the two Bollywood stars.

“Well, cricket is not just a sport. It is now cricketainment. We are getting to see Bollywood stars with cricketers one one platform. It is a nice mix,” said Rajiv Mehra, while sipping beer, in one of the corporate boxes of the sponsors.

Some 200 metres away in the stands it was a different move. The Mexican Wave created an euphoric atmosphere while the DJ played some hip-hop music to keep the crowd on their feet.

“For Rs 500 we get three hours of full entertainment and also variety. What more do we want,” said Surinder Kapoor, a die hard cricket fan.

Rajasthan Royals lost to Delhi Daredevils by 67 runs.

Rajasthan were the champions of the first edition of the IPL, pipping strong contenders Chennai Super Kings in the title round.
