Royal Challengers Bangalore were out of the reckoning for the IPL Play-offs after suffering a crushing 61-run defeat at the hands of Rising Pune Supergiant, here today.

Skipper Steve Smith top-scored for the Pune with a 45- run knock while Manoj Tiwary was the next best with a crucial 44-run innings.

For RCB skipper Virat Kohli top-scored with a 55-run knock while none of the other batsmen could touch double-digit mark.

It was Bangalore's seventh defeat this season. They are seventh in table the eight-team League with five points. They have managed to win just two matches out of 10 outings so far.

Rising Pune Supergiant: 157 for 3 in 20 overs. (S Smith 45, M Tiwary 44; S Binny 1/17, P Negi 1/18).
Royal Challengers Bangalore: 96 for 9 in 20 overs.
