As a build up to their preparations, the RCB will have a training camp ahead of the Twenty20 tournament at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here from Thursday under the supervision of coach Ray Jennings and Kumble.

An informal camp was also held at Vishakapatnam along with the Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament which concluded on Wednesday.

With the Champions Trophy still on in South Africa, Kiwi Ross Taylor will not be able to take part in the initial part of the camp while the South Africans -- Jacques Kallis, Mark Boucher, Dale Steyn, Roelf Van der Merwe -- are expected to join the praparations soon as the Proteas are already out of the tournament.

With India also crashing out of the tournament, Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli and Praveen Kumar too may join the mix at the earliest. Meanwhile, the Challengers are also contemplating to draft in Uttar Pradesh medium pacer Bhavaneshwar Kumar in place of injured all-rounder Jesse Ryder who sustained a groin injury during New Zealand’s match against Sri Lanka in the Champions Trophy.

RCB, who qualified for the tournament by virtue of their second-place finish at the Indian Premier League’s second edition in South Africa, start their Champions Leagues’ campaign with a match against Cape Cobras in Group C on October 8. The CLT20 will conclude in Hyderabad on October 23.
