Sagayraj and Archana Kamath claimed the men’s and women’s titles respectively in the 45th Canara Union State-ranking table tennis tournament on Friday.
Sagayraj battled past Anirban Roy Choudhary 11-5, 11-9, 7-11, 11-5, 11-9 in the finals to clinch the trophy.
Archana Kamath overcame Raksha R 13-11, 9-11, 11-5, 11-2, 11-8 to land the women’s title.
In the veterans’ section, Gopinath D P eased past the challenge of Jagadish C S in straight-sets to take the title while Jaydip Das and Anirban took the men’s doubles title against the pair of Vedanth and Akshay Mahanta 3-11, 11-5, 8-11, 11-8, 11-8.
