Secretary’s XI crushed Bangalore Zone by an innings and 98 runs in their last league match to set up a summit clash with Dharwad Zone in the KSCA under-14 inter-zonal tournament here.
Dharwad scraped to a first innings lead against Vice-President’s XI. Chasing VP XI’s 211 all out, Dharwad laboured to 215 for nine to gain crucial three points.
The highlight of the last leg of matches, however, was the nine-wicket haul by Mysore Zone’s Lankesh. The youngster claimed 9 for 61 to help his team take innings honours against Mangalore Zone.
The final will be played on Friday and Saturday at the AMC Engineering College Ground.
