On the penultimate day, Shruthi powered to victory in the women’s 1500 metres, clocking four minutes 53.7 seconds, easily beating her nearest rival Mahalakshmi R of Reva College, who took silver in 5:13.2.
The Surana College middle-distance runner then helped her team bag the 4x400M relay title. The quartet of Arpitha M, Sowmya V, Shruthi and Smitha US timed 5:05.7. Shruthi had won the 800M on Thursday.
Aishwarya GM of UVCE, who timed 15.5 seconds, clinched the women’s 100M hurdles gold while Manjunath A of SSMRV College clocked 19.3 to triumph in the men’s 110M hurdles.
