He is a very hard working lad and always wants to be in thick of the action. It’s a fantastic opportunity and I hope the team management makes him play because he can be a great asset.”
Former Indian left-arm spinner Sunil Joshi said Vinay should have got the call up earlier. “I have been watching Vinay for the last 5-6 seasons and the way he has matured is simply amazing. As a fellow mofussil cricketer, who has faced lots of hardships to reach this level, I can understand what it means to get a India call up. He should now just concentrate on making the most of this opportunity.”
