Suhas clinches grand double

Suhas Venu clinched a grand double in the Ramaiah Rajan memorial State-level open badminton tournament which concluded here on Wednesday.

In the boys’ under-15 singles final, Suhas eased to the title in straight games, beating Vaibhav BS 21-15, 21-16.

Suhas then partnered Chiranjeevi Reddy to labour to a 21-19, 13-21, 21-18 victory against Ankith N and Pavan R Kumar in the boys’ under-15 doubles final.
Roshni Venkat overpowered Niyati N Prabhu 21-16, 21-11 to wear the girls’ under-15 singles crown.

In the boys’ under-13 singles title clash, Sujal Shekar defeated Aditya Diwakar 21-19, 15-21, 21-18.

Results: Boys under-15: Singles: Suhas Venu bt Vaibhav B S 21-15, 21-16.

Doubles: Chiranjeevi Reddy/Suhas V bt Ankith N/Pavan R Kumar 21-19, 13-21, 21-18.
Under-13: Singles: Sujal Shekar bt Aditya Diwakar 21-19, 15-21, 21-18.

Doubles: Sumukh G S/Tushar Suneet bt Aditya Diwakar/Dhruv Prasanna 21-15, 21-19.
Girls under-15: Singles: Roshni Venkat bt Niyati N Prabhu 21-16, 21-11.

Doubles: Prachitha P/Ria Roy bt Chukki Prasad/Parinitha 21-14, 19-21, 21-9.
Under-13: Singles: Arya Hariharan bt Bhavika Agarwal 21-12, 21-10.
