Local boy Yash Aradhya finished the season on a high as he raced his way to lift the JK Tyre FMSCI National Karting Championship 2014 in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.

Competing in the Micro Max category (7-12 years of age), the Meco Racing’s driver finished on top of the drivers’ standing with 196 points.

It has been an eventful season for the 11-year-old as he had won three of the earlier four rounds in the series held in Hyderabad and Kolhapur.

The final leg also saw the Bengaluru boy stamp his authority on the track as he went on to win the race after finishing second in the qualifiers.

“It was a great team effort; Akbar Ebrahim uncle’s mentoring, team Meco Racing’s support and my hard work paid off. All the ups and downs made me develop more patience, and my perseverance helped me gain more and more victories throughout the season,” said a jubilant Yash.
