Technology companies Portronics, Sony and others, launched smart TV projector, earphones, accessories and more this week (September 29-October 5, 2025).

It comes in compact form factor with rounded-square body, smooth edges, and minimal aesthetic. It weighs just 250g and the device comes with sturdy tripod for stable placement and a slim remote with retail box.

The Pico 14 is easy to setup and comes with takes the hassle out of setup with autofocus, remote focus control, auto vertical and manual horizontal keystone correction, optical zoom, auto source detection, and auto screen rotation, ensuring a crisp, aligned picture in shortest time possible.

It can project up to 100-inch screen on the compatible wall or a screen at home with sharp 720p resolution and 1600 lumens brightness. It comes with 30,000-hour lamp life, promises several years of playtime.

It has a built-in 3W speaker to deliver clear audio, while multiple connectivity options—HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, AUX, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4.

It can easily pair with laptops, smartphones, consoles, or external speakers. Unlike other projectors, it runs quiter within 25 dB (Eco mode) and even accepts up to 4K input. For on-the-go use, the 4800 mAh rechargeable battery offers up to 60 minutes of wireless playtime. It supports all the popular Over-The-Top apps including Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Zee5, SonyLIV and more.

It costs Rs 28,349 in India.

SanDisk Creator series portable SSD for phones

The new SanDisk Creator Phone SSD is designed for MagSafe-compatible smartphones such as iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max and iPhone 16 series.

The new SSD supports Apple ProRes 4K recording at 60fps; for quick editing, save the content directly to this drive. It is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities with prices starting at Rs 10,999.

The company has also launched Creator microSD UHS-I card with Adapter for phone, drone, and action cameras. Users can store 4K and 5.3K videos and is available up to 1TB of storage. It supports fast read speeds up to 190MB/s. It boasts of temperature-proof, drop-proof, and waterproof. The price starts at Rs 1,809.

There is also a top-end Creator SD UHS-II Card with 280MB/s read speeds capability and can store 6K resolution videos. It costs Rs 4,999.

SanDisk introduced Creator USB-C Flash Drive (256GB storage) with 400MB/s read speeds capability and supports iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android, and PCs. It costs Rs 4,899.

Vivo announces Android 16-based OriginOS beta programme

Vivo earlier this week, kicked off Android 16-based OriginOS. It will have refresh user interface compared to the Funtouch OS.

It will also come with a truckload of new features from Android 16's material-3 UX offering expressive and lively user interface, deeper personalisation options, and new AI-powered tools, in addition to enhancing the performance and battery life of the device Also, improve the user privacy security of the phone owner.

Initially, customers with Vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13 series devices will be able ti sign-up for OriginOS beta programme.

Beats launches Powerbeats Fit Pro in India

Apple subsidiary Beats launched the new Powerbeats Fit Pro earphones. It features a redesigned flexible wingtip, a 17 per cent smaller charging case, and an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance.

Powerbeats Fit includes four ear tip sizes designed to fit different ear shapes and sizes: extra-small, small, medium and large.

Besides Apple H1 chipset. Powerbeats Fit Pro houses custom acoustic platform and proprietary drivers, to deliver powerful, balanced Beats sound across the full audio spectrum. Powerbeats Fit also supports Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, for truly immersive music, movies, and gaming experience.

It also supports advanced Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), which can effectively block external noise, while Transparency mode keeps users connected to their surroundings.

Powerbeats is designed to seamlessly connect with Apple devices including Automatic Switching between iPhone, iPad and Mac computer. It also supports Audio Sharing, hands-free Hey Siri, Find My, and more. It also supports Android devices, but have to manually paired using Bluetooth tech.
