Nothing Inc earlier this week launched the premium True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds-- Ear (3).
It retains the signature design elements of the Nothing products including the see-through design language showing intricate inner acoustic structure. And, it is complemented by polished metal accents on the top.
The big upgrade we will see in the Ear(3) is the Super Mic. Housed within the charging case, this dual-microphone system driven by ambient-filtering technology, focuses on the user's voice and cuts through surrounding noise up to 95 dB, ensuring crystal-clear calls in any environment.
Super Mic can be activated by pressing the talk button on the case, offering clarity for quick conversations or extended discussions.
To offer improved call clarity, each earbud houses three directional microphones combined with a bone-conduction Voice Pick-up Unit. The VPU detects micro-vibrations from the jaw and ear canal, converting them into electrical signals for precise voice pickup. This system, less affected by environmental noise, works alongside a multi-channel AI environmental noise-cancellation system, trained on over 20 million hours of real-world audio, to isolate your voice and suppress wind noise, achieving wind noise reduction levels of over 25dB, says the company.
It also promises enhanced Real-time Adaptive Noise Cancellation, up to 45 dB in the buds. They can adjust to the user's surrounding every 600 milliseconds and monitors fit-related leakage every 1,875 milliseconds.
With Bluetooth 5.4, Ear(3) promises to offer stable, detailed audio, while a low-latency mode reduces end-to-end delay to under 120 milliseconds for gaming and video. Ear (3) supports pairing with Android (Google Fast Pair), iOS, and Windows (Microsoft Swift Pair) devices.
Each bud houses a 55mAh battery and deliver up to 10 hours of listening, and can extend to 38 hours with the case. A rapid 10-minute USB-C charge provides up to 10 hours of playback and built-in wireless charging offers added convenience. It costs $179 (approx. Rs 15,775)

Google launches Agent Payments Protocol (AP2).
Credit: Google Cloud
Google in collaboration with industry leaders has introduced Agent Payments Protocol (AP2), an open protocol developed with leading payments and technology companies to securely initiate and transact agent-led payments across platforms.
The partnership include 60 organisations -- Adyen, American Express, Ant International, Coinbase, Etsy, Forter, Intuit, JCB, Mastercard, Mysten Labs, Paypal, Revolut, Salesforce, ServiceNow, UnionPay International, Worldpay, and more.
While humans are increasingly using agentic artificial intellingence (AI) tools to improve their productivity, there is growing need among corporate companies on automating transactions.
Here where Google's AP2 comes in to play. It will be capable of transacting on behalf of users, which creates a need to establish a common foundation to securely authenticate, validate, and convey an agent’s authority to transact.
" It also supports different payment types–from credit and debit cards to stablecoins and real-time bank transfers. This helps ensure a consistent, secure, and scalable experience for users and merchants, while also providing financial institutions with the clarity they need to effectively manage risk," Google Cloud team said.
Google is offering access to independent software developers to view technical specification, documentation, and reference implementations of the new AP2 on GitHub repository (here) and share feedback to the company.
