Technology companies TCL, Samsung, Western Digital and others launched new smart TVs, washing machine, accessories, and more the previous week (January 13-19, 2025).

TCL’s latest 115X955 Max series is a premium QD-Mini LED 4K TV with a 115” display size.

It is touted to be the world’s first-ever QD Mini LED TV, with 20,000+ local dimming zones and consistent colour accuracy for lifelike pictures.

It offers a 98 per cent DCI-P3 (Digital Cinema Initiatives – Protocol 3) ultra-high colour gamut and is equipped with an AiPQ Pro processor to ensure high performance.

TCL’s AI-powered processing unit enhances the TV's picture and sound quality. It also has HDR5000 nits and TCL’s patented T-Screen Ultra technology for higher contrast, lower retention, and better image quality.

In addition to Dolby Vision IQ, it supports HDR10+, TÜV Blue light, and is TÜV flicker-free, providing a superior experience and vivid colours on the screen. It is also equipped with the ONKYO 6.2.2 Hi-Fi system for immersive audio output.

For gamers, it boasts Game Master technology, which promises ultra-smooth gameplay with a 144Hz refresh rate, ALLM 10ms (Auto Low Latency Mode), Game Bar for real-time game stats, and Free Sync Premium Pro for tear-free visuals.

TCL's QD Mini LED TV is available for Rs 29,99,990 at Reliance Digital, Croma and other authorised retail outlets in India.

Western Digital's SanDisk Extreme PRO microSD UHS-I Card

The card offers up to 2TB storage. When used with SanDisk QuickFlow 5 microSD UHS-I Card USB-A Reader (sold separately), it supports blazing fast read and write speeds of up to 250MB/s and 150MB/s respectively.

It is best suited to store high-quality 4K UHD2 point-of-view video. It can also be used as a portable storage card for action cameras (like GoPro), drones, Android devices, camcorders, laptops, portable audio recorders, and handheld gaming devices.

An SD adapter can support cameras, including Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) and Mirrorless (MIL).

Western Digital microSD card also comes with RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software. The latter can effectively restore photos, videos, documents, and other types of files in a wide range of formats that have been accidentally deleted, corrupted, or lost due to formatting.

Reliance Jio deploys 4G and 5G cellular service in Siachen

Reliance Jio, in collaboration with the Indian Army, achieved a groundbreaking milestone by extending its 4G and 5G network near Siachen Glacier, said to be the world’s highest battlefield.

With support from the Army Signallers and indigenous full-stack 5G technology, Reliance Jio successfully deployed plug-and-play pre-configured equipment at a forward post.

With this feat, Reliance Jio becomes the first telecom operator to deliver fast cellular connectivity in such high-altitude regions.

Samsung kicks off festive offers ahead of Republic Day

Samsung is offering big discounts on premium foldable phones, tablets, Galaxy Watches and more.

The Galaxy Z Fold6, which costs Rs 1,64,999 (MRP), is available for a discount now, with Rs 15,000 instant cashback along with a 24 months no-cost EMI offer, starting with Rs 4,167 per month (for a period of 24 months).

Galaxy Z Flip6, which starts at Rs 1,09,999 (MRP) is available with Rs 20,000 instant cashback along with a 24-month no-cost EMI offer, starting at Rs 2,500 per month.

Galaxy Watch6 Classic is available with a massive discount of up to Rs 19,000 and Galaxy Watch Ultra will be available with a discount of Rs 10,000.

The Watch6 sports a rotating bezel and packs holistic health features such as Blood Pressure (BP), Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) tracking.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra can help the owner better understand their cardiovascular health using Samsung’s new BioActive Sensor. This sensor enables on-demand ECG recording and an HR Alert function that detects abnormally high or low heart rates.

In addition to the advanced health tracking features, the Galaxy Watch Ultra boasts enhanced durability, including a titanium-grade 4 frame and sapphire glass display.

Further, Samsung introduced a new update to the SmartThings app, through which smart wearables will be able to analyse the user's sleep environment and assess factors such as temperature, humidity, air quality, and light intensity in the room. In the morning, they will receive a sleep environment report with guidance on how to optimise the conditions of the surroundings.

The latest Galaxy Tab S10+ Wi-Fi will now be available at a special price of Rs 71,999 against its launch price of Rs 90,999. Similarly, the popular Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra Wi-Fi (256GB) will be available at a special price of Rs 88,999 against its launch price of Rs 1,08,999.

These special prices include a bank cashback of Rs 19,000 or an upgrade bonus of Rs 12,000.

The FreeBuds SE2, meanwhile, offer a secure and comfortable fit. Its IP54 dust and splash resistance will come in handy while working out at the gym.

With Bluetooth 5.3, it ensures stable connectivity. Intuitive touch controls provide seamless navigation for music, calls, and voice assistant activation.

With a full charge, it can last up to 9 hours. And, with the charging case, it can deliver up to 40 hours of battery life. Also, a quick 10-minute charge is enough to deliver up to 3 hours of audio playback. It costs Rs 2,999.

Zepto to deliver Asus accessories in minutes in Indian metros

Asus has signed a pact with Zepto to deliver computer accessories within minutes.

With the new agreement, Zepto will offer swift delivery of Asus' popular accessories lineup in major cities including NCR, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru.

Some of the Asus products include—Marshmallow Keyboard KW100 (Oat Milk and Green Tea Latte variants), Marshmallow Mouse MD100 (Blue and Grey variants), MW203 Multi-Device Wireless Silent Mouse Black and WT300 Mouse Black.

Xiaomi kicks off Republic Day sale 2025 in India

Xiaomi is offering big discounts on Redmi 13 5G, Redmi A4 5G, Redmi Pad Pro, Xiaomi Smart TV X 55 (2024 Edition), Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner X10, and Redmi Buds 6, among others.

The budget phone Redmi 13 5G will be available for Rs 11,999, while the Snapdragon 4s Gen2-powered Redmi A4 can be purchased for Rs 8,299.

Further, the versatile mid-range tablet Redmi Pad Pro is available for Rs 19,999.

Accessories such as the Powerbank 4i (20000mAh) can be grabbed for Rs 1,899. The Redmi Buds 6 can be purchased for Rs 2,799.
