Meta on Tuesday (May 13) launched the much-awaited smart wearable Ray-Ban smart glasses in India.
For the uninitiated, Ray-Ban smart glasses is produced by Meta in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica.
Meta's latest device can be pre-booked starting Tuesday (May 13). The collection features the classic Wayfarer (standard and large sizes) and the new Skyler design in Shiny Chalky Grey. It is available with sun, clear, polarised, or transition lenses and prescription options as well.
Meta Ray-Ban glasses are slated to hit stores on May 19 for Rs 29,900.
It boasts ultra-wide 12 MP camera and a five-mic system. Users can take high-quality photos and videos. Also, they can instantly share it on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
It has discreet, open-ear speakers and also features hyper-responsive touchpad to control volume and a capture button to operate camera to take images and videos. In single charge, it can deliver up to four hours of battery life, The company also offers portable charging case.

Users can pair their iPhone or Android mobile with the Meta AI app. User can talk with Meta AI. Users just have to say 'Hey Meta' to ask questions.
With the app, they can also edit imported photos as well.
Soon, users will be able to send and receive hands-free messages and calls via Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and more.
Once the language pack is downloaded, the glasses won't need Wi-Fi or internet connectivity from the companion phone. It can help users have direct conversation with the locals at international tourist spots.
To get started, the user has to just say, 'Hey Meta, start live translation.'
For entertainment, Meta will soon expand the availability of Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Shazam on Ray-Ban smart glasses beyond the US and Canada including the European Union and Asia.
