Nothing Inc. is slated to launch Phone (3a), the company's first mobile of the year, next month on March 4.

Now, the London-based company has revealed that the upcoming Android phone is being assembled at a supply partner's plant in Chennai. It has over 500 employees with 95 per cent of the employees being women.

Like other premium brands Samsung and Apple, Nothing Inc sees India as a very important market and a growth engine for their revenue.

India is the fastest-growing smartphone market and also the second biggest after China.

As per the latest Counterpoint Research’s India Smartphone tracker, Nothing recorded an impressive 577 per cent year-over-year growth in India’s smartphone market in 2024. It was driven by strong demand for the Phone (2a) Series and its sub-brand CMF's Phone 1.

Further, it has 300 plus multi-brand service centres. As far as the retail chain partnership is concerned, it has over 7,000 stores across tier-1 and 2 cities.

Recently, Nothing surpassed $1 billion in lifetime revenue. It is a great feat for a company, which was launched just four years ago.

Nothing Phone (3a): Here's what we know so far

It is reported that the company plans to bring Phone (3a) with Qualcomm's more reliable Snapdragon silicon instead of the MediaTek chipset, which was used in the predecessor.

The upcoming device will also feature a bigger 6.88-inch full HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a triple-camera module, compared to the dual sensors in the Phone (2a) series. It will feature a 5,000mAh battery and be offered in two variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.
