In 2024, we saw the launch of the Galaxy Ring, Samsung's first-ever smart ring. It comes super compact design, but delivers good on tracking health and help improve the fitness of the owner.

This year, Samsung has something new that can change the way we consume entertainment content and play games. It is expected to make a full-fledged foray into the smart headgear product segment and will also be bringing the new line of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z foldable phones.

Here is the list of Samsung devices expected to make their debut in 2025:

Samsung Galaxy S25 series

Samsung is slated to kick off the new year 2025 with the launch new Galaxy S25 series in late January.

The company is expected to offer the new device in four variants-- Galaxy S24, S25 Plus, S25 Slim and S25 Ultra.

The Galaxy S25 Slim is the first of its kind in the Galaxy S series. The latter will come with a super thin frame. It is said to feature a 6.66-inch screen and will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 4,700mAh battery.

It also features a triple camera module-- main 200MP+ 50MP ultrawide sensor + 50 MP telephoto lens-- with LED flash on the back.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to feature a 6.88-inch QHD+ (3120×1440p) Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage and a 5,000mAh battery.

It will also come with a triple-camera module-- a 200MP main sensor with a 12MP telephone lens and a 50MP camera--with LED flash.

The Galaxy S24 Plus will come with the same features as the S24 Slim but differ in terms of battery capacity and camera.

The low-end Galaxy S24 is said come with a small 6.2-inch dynamic super AMOLED display, triple-camera module-- 50MP+12MP+10MP-- LED flash on the back, 12MP front camera, Android 15-based One Ui 7.0, 12GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage, Exynos chipset (for international market)/Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset (in US/Canada/China) and a 4,000mAh battery with 25W charger.

The world's leading smartphone maker Samsung has a good number of premium phones lined up for launch in 2025.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Flip7 series

Samsung's new foldable phones-- Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip7 are expected to get bigger display cover display. Also, they will come with new generation Qualcomm Snapdragon, which will be faster and power efficient compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

In addition to new Galaxy AI features, they are expected to get new photography hardware as well.

Both the new Watch8 and Ultra 2 are expected to come with upgraded BioActive sensors, which will be able to offer deeper insights into the body’s fitness and health condition than the previous version.

They will come with new generation heart health tracking sensors to detect irregular heart rhythms suggestive of atrial fibrillation (AFib) with IHRN (Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification).

The watches will be able to help users understand the status of their heart health with Electrocardiogram (ECG) 28 and Blood Pressure (BP) readings.

Both the Watches will come with a new Samsung Exynos processor, which is expected to deliver good on power usage efficiency and be able to last longer than the predecessor.

The first generation Galaxy Ring made its debut along with Galaxy Z Fold6, and Flip6 series foldable phones in July 2024.

But, this year, reports have emerged that Samsung may unveil the Galaxy Ring 2 much earlier than anticipated. It is expected to be launched along with the Galaxy S25 series in January.

The first-gen Galaxy Ring came in nine sizes. This time, the successor will be made available in 11 sizes.

And, it will get new state-of-the-art health tracking sensors to deliver more accurate readings and help people get fit and lead a healthy lifestyle.

Last month, Samsung confirmed that it is collaborating with Google and Qualcomm on the XR series mixed reality device code-named Project Moohan, meaning 'infinity' in the Korean language.

The new headgear is expected to make its debut in the second half of 2025. But, there is no official word if the XR series will launch with Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 in July or later in the year.

Design-wise, it looks like a cool state-of-the-art Ski goggle, but unlike the Apple Vision Pro model, the Samsung XR seem lighter.

It will run on the Android XR platform and boasts cutting-edge displays, Passthrough capabilities and natural multi-modal input. Initially, it will support Google Maps, YouTube and the Gemini AI app.

The device will support most of the popular Android apps available on the Google Play Store for Android phones.

As per multiple reports, the XR series glass will feature a 12MP Sony camera (with IMX681 CMOS image sensor) and the device will be powered by Qualcomm's first-generation AR1 series silicon, which will also come integrated with NXP semiconductor to Google's Gemini-powered AI features and a 155mAh battery.

With such sophisticated hardware and sensors, the Samsung smart glasses will be able to understand hand gestures to take inputs and users will also be able to make QR-code payments with less hassle.

Besides the new smartphones and mixed reality headset, Samsung is also expected to launch a new generation Galaxy Tab S11 series premium Android tablets along with the Galaxy Buds4 series later in the year.
