Samsung on Sunday (March 2) unveiled the new line of mid-range smartphones Galaxy A56, A36 and A26 series in Seoul, South Korea.

The new Galaxy A26 features a 6.7-inch full HD+ (1080×2340p) Infinity-U Super AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate and comes with IP67 water-and-dust resistant certification.

It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, dual-SIM slots, and a microSD card slot.

It houses Exynos 1380 octal-core processor with Mali-G68 MP5 GPU,  6GB / 8GB RAM, 128GB / 256GB internal storage, expandable up to 1TB, triple camera module— 50MP rear camera (with f/1.8 aperture, OIS: Optical Image Stabilisation) + 8MP ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash on the back, a 13MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charger.

The new Galaxy A56 and A36  sport a 6.7-inch full HD super AMOLED display panels with in-screen fingerprint sensor. 

However, the Galaxy A56 is said to feature Corning’s Gorilla Victus shield and metal frame. The A36 will sport a Gorilla Glass 7+ protector and polycarbonate-based mid-rail. Both the devices boasts of IP67 water-and-dust-resistant certifications.

The new Galaxy A56, A36 and A26 series are guaranteed to get six years of Android OS updates.

The top-end A56 comes with a Exynos 1580 chipset, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and the A36 will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 silicon with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage. 

The Galaxy A56 features a triple-camera module— 50MP+12MP ultra-wide and 5MP with LED flash. And, the A36 houses a triple camera module0— 50MP with 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP depth sensor with LED flash. Both the devices will feature 12MP front camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charger.

All the three phones comes with Android 15-based One UI 7.0 OS. They are eligible to get six years of Android OS updates and software security patches against emerging cyber threats up to 2031.

The new Galaxy A56, A36 and A26 prices start at $499.99, $399.99 and $299.99, respectively. All three new Samsung phones will be launched with price and availability details in India soon.
