Google on Thursday (August 14) announced a new Artificial Intelligence-powered tool, Flight Deals for the Google Flights app.
While planning a trip to exotic places or even for an inter-state tour, flight charges form a big chunk of travel bills. People try every possible method, including online travel agencies, to get the most affordable tickets, wherein they use the saved money to get souvenirs.
Now, Google's new Flight Deals tool, as the name suggests, will assist users in getting the cheapest flight ticket.
Flight Deals is designed for flexible travellers whose number one goal is saving money on their next trip. Instead of playing with different dates, destinations and filters to uncover the best deals, you can just describe when, where and how you’d like to travel — as though you’re talking to a friend — and Flight Deals will take care of the restJade Kessler Product Manager, Google Flights
It uses Google's advanced AI models to understand the nuances of what the user is looking for and then taps into live Google Flights data to quickly show the relevant, up-to-date options.
Users can just describe when, where and how he/she’d like to travel, and Flight Deals will do all the heavy lifting of going through all the airline services' websites and get the cheapest option to the destination and back.
To see the best bargains available, users can try searching for something like 'week-long trip this winter to a city with great food, nonstop only.' It will list all the affordable flight options and help plan the trip.
The Flight Deals will roll out in phases over the week in the US, Canada and India. There is no opt-in required. Users will be able to try it out by heading straight to the Flight Deals page or via the top-left menu on Google Flights.
