Search engine giant Google has announced to host the annual developers conference I/O 2025 edition in May.
The company will kick off the two-day Google I/O 2025 on May 20 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. The programme will also be streamed live online on its official website.
Google's top executives including the CEO Sundar Pichai will deliver keynotes, followed by sessions, demos, networking opportunities for developers and more continuing on day two (May 21).
Last year, Google announced Android 15 features, Gemini AI models, improvements coming to Google Maps and more. Also, it launched the Pixel 8a (review) phone.
Similarly, in 2025, Google will offer a sneak peek latest developments in its popular products, technologies, and innovations in AI, Android 16 and more.
However, Google is unlikely to wait till May to reveal the new Pixel 9a. It is rumoured to launch the new phone as early as next month on March 19.
It is said to feature a 6.3-inch full HD+ display, 120Hz refresh rate, Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 shield and comes with an in-screen fingerprint sensor and type-c port.
It will be powered by a Google Tensor G4 chipset, 8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, Android 15 OS and a 5,100mAh battery with support for a 23W wired charger and 7.5W wireless charging.
As far as the photography hardware is concerned, it is expected to sport a dual-camera module-- a 48MP main camera (with a 1/2-inch sensor, f/1.7 aperture) and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor with an LED flash on the back. It will also feature a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calling.
The upcoming Pixel 9a will be offered in four colours--Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Iris (purple), and Peony (pink).
