Android and iOS versions of the Microsoft Office Lens will be taken down on both Google Play and Apple App Store on February 9, 2026.

People who have installed the Office Lens on their device can still be able scan the documents up to March 9, 2026. Beyond that timeline, they won't be able to use Office Lens any further.

That said, the documents scanned through Office Lens will be accessible as long as the app remains installed on the device.

The company has recommended users to install Microsoft OneDrive app to scan the documents.

Here's how to scan documents using OneDrive app on your phone:

Step 1: Open the OneDrive app on your mobile device.

Step 2: Select the + button on the bottom corner.

Step 3: Select Scan photo to scan your documents.

Step 4: Save it to your desired location in your OneDrive.
