Qualcomm on Wednesday (February 12) launched the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, a powerful chipset for new mid-range phones.
The new Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 comes with big upgrades to deliver better user experience on phones in terms of performance, GPU rendering, gaming, improved audio delivery, enhanced photography, faster cellular connectivity, quicker data transfer speed, fast battery charging and more.

-- The new 4nm class Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 come with 64-bit architecture. It has one prime core (with up 2.3Ghz), three performance cores (up to 2.2 GHz speed) and four efficiency cores (up to 1.8 GHz). It can improve CPU performance by up to 11 per cent over the predecessor.
• With the latest Adreno GPU, it promises to deliver up to 29 per cent improved performance and 12 per cent better power efficiency

It supports HDR gaming (10-bit color depth), API Support: OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP, Vulkan 1.3; Hardware-accelerated H.265 and VP9 decoder and HDR Playback Codec support for HLG, HDR10+, HDR10, and HDR vivid.

--Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 comes with Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and Adreno Frame Motion Engine, which is capable of enhancing realism by doubling frame rates—without draining battery power.
-- Device with Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 can support LP-DDR5 RAM (up to 3200 MHz) and LP-DDR4X RAM (up to 2133 MHz)
-- It supports Qualcomm Spectra Image Signal Processor. It will be able to deep learning-based face detection, auto-focus and auto exposure to get the best photo of the subjects in all light conditions
--With this, the device will be able to capture high quality 10-bit HEIF photo and video capture. It can allow the phone to record 4K videos at 30 frames per second (fps), slo-mo video in full HD 1080p at 120 fps
Further, the new Qualcomm Spectra Triple ISP and Snapdragon Low-Light Vision (LLV) can help in reducing noise to capture well-lit images and videos after dark.
And, it can help the device capture high grade picture with less loss of quality even when zooming in, with 200 MP single shots.
