Love is a feeling which transcends every barrier - time, age, distance, language and culture.
This has been proven true by a 70-year-old woman who went against all odds to be with the love of her life - a 40-year-old man.
On a beach in Spain is where the woman, who retired recently and had gone on a holiday, met the man who was a young surfer.
According to a report by News18, the woman was 60 then and had no plans of getting romantically involved with anyone because she wanted to enjoy and have leisure time after her retirement when she crossed paths with this 30-year-old man.
The woman was enjoying surfing in a bikini and the man was surfing alone while his friends were playing football at the beach.
An instant connection was made between the two which the woman didn't take seriously initially, but it did deepen as days went by.
The woman left Spain without telling him, moving ahead with her life but kept the man's memories alive in her heart.
According to the publication's report, five years later, the woman again came back to Spain, returned to the same beach and resort only to find the man she had met years ago, leaving her surprised and questioning their fate.
When the man asked her, "Why did you leave me," she asked him whether he was married or if had any children.
The man admitted that he had two children which made the woman a bit jealous, which was eventually overlooked as she was happy to find out that the man had matured over the years.
This time the two decided to stick to each other and met and spent time together frequently. The two exchanged contact numbers and started talking regularly.
They continued to teach other things and also about each other, as the man taught her how to use WhatsApp
The relationship though wasn't a piece of cake as the woman's children and friends were not supportive of her making a life with the man that she had found love in.
The woman's well-wishers had doubts if the man was pretending to be in love with her and instead eyeing her wealth.
According to News18, that didn't seem to be the case as she said, "He has given me a new perspective on life. He taught me that love has no age."
The two have now been together for 8 years now with their bond only growing strong day by day.
The couple divide and manage their time between Spain and London, as the woman describes their love as not only physical but also one built on emotion and intellect.
She praised her man saying that he taught her to embrace life and to be free of worries and doubts.
According to the publication's report, though the woman's family was protective of her wealth, she, who was clear about her decisions, said, "When I make a will, I will take care of my children."
The man continues to run a restaurant and has now obtained a business degree hoping to start his own business someday.
