Two scientists shared the 2012 Nobel Prize in Medicine, announced the Nobel Committee at Swedish Karolinska Institute in Stockholm Monday.

The 2012 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine went to John B. Gurdon and Shinya Yamanaka "for the discovery that mature cells can be reprogrammed to become pluripotent", reported Xinhua citing a statement.
