The Black Sea port facilities of Tuapse, home to a major Russian oil terminal, were damaged and set ablaze overnight as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack, regional authorities said on Sunday.
"An attack by UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) is being repelled in Tuapse," the administration of the Krasnodar region where Tuapse is located, said on the Telegram messaging app.
"Falling drones have caused damage to port infrastructure and sparked a fire. There have been no reports of casualties."
It was not immediately clear what port infrastructure was damaged.
The port is home to the Tuapse oil terminal and the Rosneft-controlled Tuapse oil refinery, both of which have been targeted by Ukrainian drones several times this year.
Kyiv has intensified strikes on Russian refineries, depots and pipelines to strain fuel supplies, disrupt military logistics and raise wartime costs, a campaign it says is retaliation for Russian attacks on the Ukrainian power grid.
The Krasnodar administration said as a result of falling drone debris, an apartment building was damaged in the village of Sosnovyi, just outside Tuapse. There were no injuries reported, it added.
