On the National Stock Exchange the stock soared 10.42 per cent to a high of Rs 360 in the morning trade. On Thursday, the company acquired Argentinian hair-care company Argencos, its second buyout in Latin America in less than two weeks<br /><br />The company, on May 23, had announced taking 100 per cent stake in Latin America's Issue Group, a market leader in hair-colour in Argentina, Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay. The combined sales of the two Argentine companies would be over USD 45 million.<br /><br />Godrej Consumer Products has been on an acquisition spree in recent months. The Indian FMCG major had acquired Nigeria's Tura soap brand and Indonesia's household-care company, the Megasari group. Besides, it has also acquired Sara Lee's 51 per cent stake in its joint venture Godrej Sara Lee.</p>
