Last Updated 31 August 2018, 20:29 IST

Rahul Dravid, in an exclusive interaction with DH, spoke about coming back to his school and the fond memories.

How does it feel to come back to a place where you have spent some great years?

It always feels like coming back home. For me, this school has so many great memories. I have spent some great years here both in the classroom and on the sports field. I have learnt a lot of my cricket here and made some great friends whom I have till today. I met some of the boys from my class it is always nice. Though I haven’t had the time to visit the classrooms yet.

A lot of your friends are out there doing great work...

Yes, it is hard to forget them, we have shared some great memories. It has been almost 30 years that I passed out but it all feels like yesterday. They are bonds that will stay with me for a lifetime.

Some of your best memories...

Oh, there are so many, it’s hard to pick one. Some of my best memories are of being a part of the hockey and cricket teams. The buzz around the sports day and the stress and tension of exams, even when those are not great memories.

Your advice to young Josephites...

Make a lot of friends and have a lot of fun at school. Remember to enjoy these years because they will stay with you for the rest of your life and you miss them when they are gone.
