Man blackmails woman with nude photos

A 33-year-old woman lodged a sexual harassment complaint against a man who allegedly blackmailed her with her nude pictures and extorted Rs 5 lakh and gold jewellery from her.

The Bengaluru district police are investigating into the complaint lodged by the homemaker, a resident of Beediganahalli in Devanahalli taluk.

The woman, a mother of two, informed her husband about the harassment and lodged a complaint on July 24, police said.

She said the accused, identified as Ramachandra G, also a resident of Beediganahalli, used to call her over phone and make sexually coloured remarks. He also sent her obscene messages. Ramachandra used to visit her house when she was alone and clicked her nude pictures. He blackmailed her with the photos, and extorted Rs 5 lakh and gold jewellery from her. He threatened to leak the pictures to her husband if she demanded the money and jewellery back, the woman said in the complaint.

Illicit affair, say cops

The Chennarayapatana police, which registered an FIR and conducted preliminary inquiries, learnt that Ramachandra was having an illicit affair with the woman. When her husband suspected her fidelity, the woman alleged that Ramachandra was blackmailing her.

The police are investigating.
