<p>Thiruvananthapuram: Former Kerala Chief Minister <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/v-s-achuthanandan">V S Achuthanandan </a>remains in critical condition at a private hospital after suffering a cardiac attack.</p>.<p>In a health bulletin on Wednesday, the hospital stated there has been no change in the condition of the veteran CPI(M) leader, who is being treated in the ICU.</p>.<p>On Tuesday, a seven-member specialist team from the Government Medical College visited the hospital and reviewed his treatment.</p>.Veteran Communist leader V S Achuthanandan remains critical.<p>The 101-year-old leader was admitted last week and is under the care of a team of specialists. His vital parameters are being closely monitored, hospital sources said.</p>.<p>Achuthanandan, a towering figure in Kerala politics, has been battling age-related health issues in recent years and has largely withdrawn from public life.</p>.<p>He is the last surviving member of the group that founded the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in 1964, following the split within the undivided Communist Party.</p>.<p>A lifelong advocate for social justice and workers' rights, Achuthanandan served as Kerala's Chief Minister from 2006 to 2011.</p>
