The BJP government is full of liars and inept people,” he alleged while speaking with presspersons during the visit of district in-charge minister S A Ramdas to his house. The minister had come to MLA’s house to extend Dasara invitation.<br /><br />Promise reneged<br /><br />Gowda said the Chief Minister had assured him of a Cabinet berth but reneged on his promise by accommodating only ‘suitcase’ candidates. He termed his exclusion from the ministry as an injustice to the Vokkaliga community. <br /><br />He declared that he would neither accept the proposed offer to head a board or a corporation nor would take part in Dasara celebrations. Challenging the chief minister to expel him from the party, Gowda said an MLC had been preferred over a senior legislator like him for the post of the minister.<br /><br />When the media brought Gowda’s words to the notice of Ramdas, the latter said the remarks were a result of ‘deeply hurt sentiments’ of Gowda. The minister said the issue will be sorted out through talks.<br /><br />Belur unhappy<br /><br />Addressing a press meet in Shimoga on Saturday, Sagar legislator Belur Gopalakrishna said he was ‘disappointed’ by the recent Cabinet expansion.<br /><br />“Personally I was disappointed with the reshuffle. However I will not indulge in anti-party activities,” he said. <br /><br />The MLA said he was committed to the decision taken by chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and State BJP President K S Eshwarappa. <br /><br />He stated that he would continue to serve the party as a loyal worker and expressed confidence that Ediga community will get representation in the next round of Cabinet expansion.<br /><br />No notice<br /><br />Replying to a query he said that no notice was served against him by the party for demanding Cabinet berth. “Assertion of claims and rights can’t be termed as indiscipline. It is left to the party to accommodate me in the Cabinet,” he said.</p>
