Fake 'Vice Chancellor' in police net

The accused, P V Sudheer, who has studied upto only tenth standard, was found to be having several fake degrees certificates and letters from well known persons, police said.
Sudheer had taken money from several persons promising job in various universities, police said.

The accused had first approached the woman with a marriage proposal and when she rejected, he introduced himself as vice chancellor of the Sanskrit university at nearby kalady and promised her a job. Her father then gave him rs 2.5 lakh which he took and vanished, police said. The family then filed a police complaint.

Police have seized several fake certificates and letters from the man, who was arrested yesterday.On interrogation, he revealed that he had been twice married and cheated people saying he was the vice chancellor of B R Amedkar university in Uttar Pradesh.
