<p>Hyderabad: The Rangareddy District Consumer Commission has issued notice to popular Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu, naming him as the third respondent in a case involving his role as the brand ambassador for real estate company Sai Surya Developers.</p><p>All three respondents in the case have been served legal notices. </p><p>A woman doctor and another individual paid Rs 34.80 lakh to purchase plots in Balapur after trusting assurances from the real estate company. The buyers were attracted by promotional materials featuring Mahesh Babu's photograph and claims that all layout permissions were in place.</p><p>When the buyers demanded a refund, the second respondent cited financial hardship and returned only Rs 15 lakh in installments. As delays continued and the second respondent showed signs of deception, the victims approached the consumer court to recover the remaining amount. The company's owner, Kancharla Satish Chandra Gupta, is under police investigation for defaulting on a major real estate project called "Green Meadows," prompting the ED to launch its probe. However, the ED did not question Mahesh Babu as an accused.</p><p>Mahesh Babu is currently busy shooting for ace director SS Rajamouli's upcoming movie.</p>
