The two men, Setty, a former Minister, and Prakash, a ministerial hopeful, have become bitter enemies as Setty feels that the Kolar MLA has done him out of his rightful chance of being included in the Cabinet again.
A slot in the Cabinet has become such a bone of contention between the two, that on Thursday, Varthur dared Setty to “step into Kolar, if he had guts”.
Saturday, in a scene right out of a vendetta movie, Setty took up the challenge and entered the city with his followers with much fanfare.
He went around the City, seeking a confrontation with Prakash. He did not succeed as Varthur was nowhere to be found.
With his blood lust unsatiated, Setty had to console himself with a tame meeting with Small Industry Minister C H Vijayshankar and returned to Malur.
