Intel Atom processor E600 series now in India

Based on system-on-chip (SoC) technology it integrates additional capabilities onto the chip. Further, it has an open interconnect for easier pairing with a variety of input/output devices.

Briefing reporters, Intel South Asia Embedd & Communications Group Managing Director (Emerging Markets) Sanat Rao said it is ideal for applications such as in-vehicle infortainment systems, internet phones and smart grid devices.

Intel Atom SoC achieves optimised power/ performance at 5 watts and below, making the chip ideal for small-form factor or space-constrained applications, the company said.
Depending upon the specific requirements, the processor is available in the price range of $19-85 in quantities of 1,000. The platform controller hub is being retailed at $9 in quantities of 1,000.
