Aseemanand confession: AMU seeks more security

AMU Vice Chancellor P K Abdul Azis, in a letter to state Chief Secretary, has sought adequate security for the varsity, university spokesman Rahat Abrar said.

"The University authorities have taken the matter seriously and all AMU students and staff members have been directed to carry their identity cards which are liable to be checked at all sensitive points inside the campus," he said.

The district authorities have also been alerted to help in ensuring a check on all "unauthorised persons" within the University campus.
