SAP to have applications in Hindi soon

Last Updated 17 February 2011, 14:45 IST

SAP Labs India Vice-President for Globalisation Services Navaneet Mishra said the SAP Localisation Summit was aimed at localising SAP solutions for Indian businesses and that providing them in Indian languages is being actively considered.

“We’ve done an analysis on what it would mean (to provide services in Hindi) and the implications of such an offering. We would take a decision soon,” he added.

SAP has been providing its solutions in 37 languages so far, which includes Chinese and Japanese. Rapid adoption of its solutions beyond metros could be a reason for SAP exploring the Indian language option. Nearly 400 delegates from 170 SAP customers are attending the 2-day meet.
