Scot Stillie in race for AIFF top post

Ian Stillie, who served as CEO of Scottish side Motherwell FC for 14 months till October last year, is the only foreigner out of the 37 who have applied for the post before the last date on Wednesday.

Goa Football Association Secretary Savio Messias and former Vision India Project Director Shaji Prabhakaran are top contenders for the job.

Chandigarh Football Association Secretary Rakesh Bakshi, Delhi side Hindustan FC’s secretary DK Bose and senior executive marketing division of the AIFF Sukhvinder Singh have also applied.

Meanwhile, 35 candidates, including three foreigners, have applied for the post of I-League chief executive officer with prominent names being current AIFF competition director Anil Kamat and former Mahindra United coach Harish Rao.

The executive committee of the AIFF is likely to decide on the procedure of the appointment of the two posts in its meeting here on July 22.
