<p>Muzrai department, like previous years made arrangements to bring water from holy ganges this year too and around 70 cans of holy ‘ganga jal’ were supplied to the temples of the district. <br /><br />The Ganga jal which came from Bangalore was received by additional deputy commissioner Puttamadaiah, Assistant director of youth services H P Manjula and Ramu of Muzrai department in Mandya, on Tuesday.<br /><br />The water was made more sacred by performing puja at the Kashi Vishwanatha temple before transporting the same by tankers to the State which arrived in Bangalore. It was later sent to all the districts which was then sent to all taluks from the District centres, said priest Satish.<br /><br />Around 70 cans with a capacity of 10 litres per can had been given to the district and each taluk were given 10 cans respectively, which were distributed among the devotees at all the Shiva temples in the district on Wednesday.<br /></p>
