<p>The petitioners Satish Bhat and Natesh Kumar have moved the High Court, seeking action against him. <br /><br />“As per the re-accounting report submitted by the department of co-operation some time ago, it is evident that Revanna's decisions as chairman caused a loss of nearly Rs 56 crore directly to KMF. Besides, Revanna is responsible for violating several recruitment norms in more than 68 cases,” the petitioners said.<br /><br />They contend that Revanna, who is at present Chairman of the Hassan Milk Co-Operative Society (HMCS), during his tenure as Chairman of KMF had succeeded in ‘burying’ the inter-department audit report of the department of co-operation, which had indicted him for causing a loss of Rs 38.25 crore by flouting norms more than 19 times. <br /><br />The petitioners alleged that despite knowing about the report, the then chief minister, N Dharam Singh rejected it, without even verifying its merits.<br />The petitioners said Revanna flouted several recruitment norms and appointed 68 individuals, thus causing a loss of more than Rs 16 crore to KMF. He was able to cover up the scam with the help of his younger brother, H D Kumaraswamy, who was the chief minister at that time.<br /><br />The petitioners have sought disqualification of Revanna from his present post as Chairman of HMCS. The matter is likely to come up for hearing on Thursday. <br /><br />Plea against CID officer <br /><br />The High Court has dismissed a contempt petition filed against Yogappa, the investigating officer of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) filed by a woman disciple of self-styled godman Nithyananda.<br /><br />Hearing an appeal by Anjula Jackson, an US-based follower of Nithyananda, the Division Bench comprising Justice K Shridhar Rao and Justice K Govindarajulu dismissed the petition.<br /><br />The appellant submitted that the investigation officer has interfered in the course of justice. She submitted that Yogappa is not conducting investigation against Lenin despite several complaints.<br /><br />The appellant had approached the High Court seeking directions to Yogappa. However, the single judge directed the petitioners to get permission from Advocate General to file a contempt petition. <br /><br />When Advocate General Ashok Harnahalli rejected the application seeking permission for contempt petition, the appellants appealed before division under Section 12 (C) of Criminal Contempt Act. <br /></p>
